Its official - wind farms are killing Taiwanese goats. It must be true because it is on the BBC news website. A farmer on an outlying island in Taiwan where giant wind turbines have been installed has lost over 400 goats. The farmer says they just cannot cope with the noise and disturbance.

A friend of mine has come up with a great solution to the economic crisis and it is much cheaper than baling out the banks. There are 20million people over 50 in the workforce. Simply pay them £1m each severance for early retirement on the stipulation that they must:

The Sunday papers are full of the never ending greed of our MPs again - claiming as expenses everything from mortgage payments that did not exist to Christmas decorations.
