The Sunday Times carried a message board yesterday (where readers comment) on children dying because the police et al now observe health & safety laws which forbid them to save a drowning child. All comments were violently anti all this nonsense. One comment was particularly good:

So Mrs Old Fart and I decided to miss the latest dump of snow in the UK and escape to the sun. What a relief to be away from it for a break. Spent the day relaxing in the sunshine, catching up with friends and doing not a lot.
